Drunken Christmas Pecans

 1 quart pecans

5 egg whites 

1 C brown sugar

2 TBSP peach crown royal

2 tsp vanilla extract 

1 tsp cayenne pepper

2 tsp salt

Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Add vanilla extract, egg whites and crown royal to a large bowl. Whisk until the mixture is frothy. Add pecans to the mixture and stir. Make sure the pecans are coated well. 

In a separate bowl, mix sugar, cayenne pepper and salt. Pour dry mixture onto the pecans and mix, ensuring that all of the pecans are coated. 

Place pecans in a single layer on a parchment paper lined cookie sheet. Cook for about an hour at 300 degrees, stirring every 15 minutes. Watch closely to ensure the pecans don’t burn. The pecans are done when they are crunchy on the outside. Cool completely and serve or wrap up and give to your friends and family.
